Sep 25, 2014 4:09 PM in response to rkaufmann87by nanowol,I just got off the phone with HP support and indeed their drivers do NOT support Maverick. The person that I spoke to from HP advised to use Apple's Image Capture, which I needed to install (just had to search for it in spotlight to find it). I can scan using it—not as good as when I scanned using my HP Photosmart Premium All-in One C410A but at least I can scan.

Sep 25, 2014 4:15 PM in response to nanowolby tbirdvet,HP6520 (or 6525) works great with Mavericks. Just be sure to download drivers from HP site and not use the Apple ones if you want all the HP features..

Sep 26, 2014 8:19 AM in response to EmBrockmanby Marc.Speth,This may not be a viable solution for everyone, and it is absurd that Apple has caused the situation to come to this, but I finally found a third party program called VueScan ( http://www.hamrick.com ) that I purchased to solve my problem.
I installed VueScan and it immediately recognized my HP4070 scanner and I was back to scanning photos again. I have since purchased and installed another copy on my wife's business computer and it has her up and running once again.
VueScan recognizes over 2,500 different printers and scanners, including all-in-ones. (I am not a spokesperson for VueScan - just a satisfied customer)
It's sad that other companies can make the time and effort to get it right while Apple sits on their hands and makes their customers very unhappy.

Sep 26, 2014 8:34 AM in response to EmBrockmanby Tom in London,Epson XP-205 works fine. Very cheap too. Here's a link.
However I've never tried it with WiFi. I just use a USB cable. I hear there are issues when you try to connect it using WiFi. Not a problem for me.
