I have the latest version of garage band with Mavericks. I ran the jam pack installer and everything seemed to go fine but now it will not complete the script to finish the installation. If I force quit it comes back and says I will damage my computer if I don't let it finish. It has been 20 hours and I'm looking for suggestions on how to proceed.

Are you trying to install the original JamPack CDs? The installers run no longer in MacOS X 10.7 or later, because they include Power PC code.

Another possibility would be to buy Mainstage. That will install all JamPacks, so that they can be used with GarageBand. And you get MainStage as an added bonus.
