I am trying to upgrade 10.5.8 to Snow leopard. i have the disc of SL. I insert the disc and after it sounds like it is reading the disc it shoots it out.
it is a 2008 macbook 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo processor 4gb 1067 mhz ddr3 memory.
please help!

Where did the Snow Leopard DVD come from?
If it came from another Mac it is hardware specific to that Mac

i bought it from apple over the phone. i went to the genius bar and they basically told me my computer is old and couldnt help and to order this and install it. and now nothing even comes up when i put it in the driver.
In that case, if it were mine, I would be at the Apple Store with the DVD and MacBook and ask them to fix it.
