Q: iphone 4s my calender + button is grayed out how can i turn this on

Please can any help My iphone 4s I ope calendero myn Calender and the + button is grayed out so i cannot add to my calender

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

This did not work
But I did turn off icoud on my iphone 4s and powered down phone & power on and all was OK and turned icloud back on and still OK
