third party software updates fail on mid 2007 24in iMac since upgrading to Mavericks

Greetings,

Anyone have any idea why 3rd party software updates keep failing to install on mid 2007 24inch imac. I can download some of the updates manually and install them, but the auto install feature from the 3rd party doesn't work. Also, mobee magic charger with Magic Mouse keeps disconnecting and the computer needs to be rebooted to be rediscovered. This only started to occur after updatiing to Mavericks.
