Mini DVI does not work in windows

I have no problem using the Mini DVI adapter in OSX but when I go into windows it does not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The only reason why I use windows is for the TVUplayer, which currently has no version for OSX

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.7), 2GHz

are you using bootcamp?

i have not used bootcamp, but i have parellels loaded and have had OS X on one screen and XP on the other - at the same time!

When you boot into Windows, you need to change graphics options to tell the OS to output to the External monitor. On the macbook is the intel GMA950 graphics chip and it comes with intel software when you install the drivers. If you go to control panel in Win XP, there is an intel section in there. You can then set the options to output to an external monitor either mirrored or extended desktop, and it will remember and do what you selected each time you boot into windows
