iTunes and 90 day Appleid rule

My Wife and I both share this Mac and each have our own iTunes library. I gifted her a music album at Christmas as you do and now discover it can't be played or downloaded because the Appleid associated with this Mac is mine for 90 days.

You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 69 days.

We share libraries but the album can't be downloaded from my account.

I don't understand the reasoning behind such a rule. She is her own Mistress with her own banks cards and free will. She just happens to share a computer. Surely her Appleid is linked to her payment details and as long as Apple and the artist get their money does it matter what computer it's downloaded to? This has happened before and we've had to wait 90 days to change id before we could play the music. I might have gone death by then! Really Apple, grow up and stop treating us like thieves, robbers and cadavers.

You said "I don't understand the reasoning behind such a rule" and then ended with "stop treating us like thieves", so it seems you do understand. It's to prevent people from pirating software. You can have buddy 1 dump their entire library on buddy 2's computer and so on and so on...

If you don't like the rule, provide feedback at apple.com/feedback, but i wouldn't expect a change any time soon.

If you contact itunes support at getsupport.apple.com they've been known to provide a 1 time exception and lift the block, but they don't have to and I wouldn't necessarily count on it happening.

My mother just upgraded her phone so I used my PC to transfere all her contacts and other phone stuff from old to new phone. Now I can't do anything on my phone with my own apple id. Tried to put some music back on I previously removed due to lack of memory. Some 90 day bull pops up. Even tried to pay again for my music and it's still won't download.

U Pay for goods u expect to get them and be able to use them.!!!

i Think I'm about ready to ask for refund for the phone, 2 iPods, 2 iPads and all music, movies and app I've purchased as Im unable to use them and paying £ thousands of pounds for all these things and not being able to get use from them is unacceptable. Can't use product I dont want product!! It's not like we are talking little money here!

I Will be sending the lot back along with going to watch dog, news and trading standards. We have all been ripped off and cheated.

i Simply helped an elderly disable woman (my mother) who dose not own a computer to sort out her new iPhone.

Perhaps we we will send back her iPhone, iPod and iPad too!!!
