Speaker via USB port/ Internal speakers simultaneously

Does anyone know if I can use my cheap-o (handmade) speaker via USB port and internal speakers simultaneously on my 2011 Macbookpro?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
