I find dozens of Folderinfo.text files in All My Documents. Can these be deleted?

I have Microsoft Office 2011 installed.

When I open All my documents in the Finder window, I see dozens of files labelled Foldertext.info. When I open them I get a window that has one word such as images, window, dialogs etc.

Can I delete them? If they are not required, how can I stop getting them?

Also, I find in the same area in Finder, there are several copies of the same Word document. Why is this?

I am new to Mac so please advise! Thanks
