Restore loop

Hi,

I just bought my first ipod classic today.

I come home, i wait 4 hours for it to fully charge.

It charges, and i connect it to my itunes.

Problem is, itunes says it's corrupted and it needs to be restored.

So, i do that. My ipod restores (i think, itunes doesn't mention my ipod at all after clicking the restore button) it goes off and on, and itunes doesn't see it anymore.

So i disconnect and connect it again.

Itunes says my ipod is corrupted and needs to be restored.

How do i fix this?

I litteraly did everything apple told me to do.

What is wrong?

Is it itunes, i have the latest version?

Please help,

Alina
