Connecting a FireWire iSight camera

I want to use an older iSight camera with my new MacBook Pro. The MBP has USB3 but no FireWire input. Can I get an adapter to facilitate this? I know my MBP has a built in camera but I want to have the camera level with my head when I am delivering a lecture. There are limits to what I can expect my audience to put up with in terms of looking up my nose and counting my double chins? Please be specific about any adapters that may be available. Thank you.
