My non-apple PC won't launch iTunes

My non-apple PC (running on VIsta)won't allow me to open or listen to iTunes anymore...it says:

"iTunes.exe - Unable to locate component, this application has failed to start becaise MSVCR80.DLL was not found, reinstalling the application may fix the problem."

but I can't even uninstall/reinstall the application because it says I'm not a system administrator but I am the owner of the PC so have no idea how to fix this...any suggestions?

visit this on how to troubleshoot it itunes - http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717.

For the admin part try this: Restart the computer and when it starts BEFORE it gets to windows, start tapping F8. You should get a menu that has several options. Select the one that says SAFE MODE and then let it boot all the way. Note that the screen might be big. You then select ADMINISTRATOR from the list of users and go to add remove programs and use that to remove anything that you want.

You must be a system administrator, or your account must have administrator privileges. See Microsoft's support site for help with this. Vista is rather complicated when it comes to administrator privileges.

Also, that error, missing MSVRC80.dll, is a Microsoft Windows system component, so if it is missing your Vista installation may be corrupted. The iTunes installer will attempt to install it if it is missing, but it needs Administrator rights to do so.
