Choosing the right Macbook Pro Retina 13''

Gday, Want to purchase the MBP Retina 13'' in the next couple of days and want to know the sutible specs for my uses, simple stuff, surf web, steam movies, play games(warcraft 3 & dota 2) etc, I was thinking mid range because 256SSD HD seems enough for me and 8GB ram from what i've gathered the right amount of ram but I am a bit concerned about the CPU, I dont want to get the i7 and pay all that extra $$ knowing the i5 2.4 would be surfice for my needs, or worse the other way around.

So basically will the 2.4GHz 8GB 256SSD be fine to run Dota 2? overheating issues of some sort? or does the i7 perform a lot better etc, please let me know!

I would like some recommendations and advice on what you know so I can pick the right one for me without wasting $$$
