Q: How can I close open apps on the IPad?
Since updating to IOS 7, I can no longer close apps that I open on my IPad.. Two quick taps on the home button still brings open apps to the bottom of the screen, but holding one down no longer makes them squiggle. Touching one just opens it again. By now I have several open apps draining my battery. Can someone please tell me how to close them? I never had any trouble with this before IOS 7.

Thank you so much Diavonex and stedman1 and AnaMusic! At first the upward swipe didn't work for me, but then I looked again at your posts for a clue to what I had missed. Thank you for saying that is isn't the app you swipe, but the preview!
This is very easy, but I don't think I would have ever figured it out for myself!
