All your music and playlists are stored in the iTunes library, which is in the My Music folder, and it is not modified when you uninstall iTunes, so you will not lose anything and you will keep the playlists and names of recordings. However, I recommend you to make a copy of the iTunes library onto another folder.
It depends. There is an option in iTunes preferences that allows you to choose if you want to copy your music to the iTunes library or keep it in the other folder. Anyway, you will not get the songs deleted after uninstalling the app.
So I will assume that the playlist names that I created, etc. will automatically reappear when I reinstall the latest update to 11.1.4. That update did not instally cleanly. Won't open after install so they recommend uninstall and reinstall.
Thanks. I generally have the various music in folders under My Music and then add those folders to iTunes library. So the music is not actually in the iTunes library, or is it?
Good. I have an older ipod classic, 80 gig. So it has several thousand "songs." And I have named them in iTunes. Just didn't want to lose all that work.
Make a backup of your iTunes library in case anything fails.
Correct
Will do. Thanks for the help. !!
You are welcome
