Hey there...i'm fairly new with fcp 7.
I was searching for plugins and tutorial on how to enable it...still confused however...
Can someone guide me through from beginning on what to do after i download the file? Thanks.

well..i did..but what confuse me is that: is it a certain folder that i need to drag into the plugins?
Reason that i'm asking is because there is this site called fxfactory or something like that ..it requires me to download a free app and enable something... so methods to install pluggins are different...
some plug ins include an installer which takes care of this for you. FXFactory if I remember correctly takes care of this for you because it installs it for many video applications, not just fcp.
FX Factory is an application.
You install their plugins by downloading them from within the application.
then what about these third party sites where they give you free plugins?
Many of the third party plugins are installed by just dragging the plugins to the Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins.
Apps purchased or downloaded via FX Factory are install by that app. FXPlug plugins go in a different folder.

I just drag this in plugins? i did that and it wouldn't work..what i'm trying to do is do introduction with various pictures and i just don't know how to use this...
I realized that plugin icon looks different...this isn't one of those block icon like plugins.
Those aren't plugins. They may be part of a FXPlug package though. If they are part of an FX Factory plugin, you need to install it through the app. Essentially, they're just still images that can be used as a matte for transitions.

could you give me an example of third party plugins that doesn't require fxfactory...and do you have fx factory for yourself?
Any of Joe's Filters, Eureka and Stibs Filter are all examples of third party filters that you install by just dragging them into the plugin folder. And yes, I do have FX Factory.
There are also FXPlug filters and transitions which are treated differently but I don't remember their designated location.
