Q: with the new OS X my track pad has gone crazy, the sticky feature will engage for no reason and can not be removed.  I have also lost the ability to cut and paste using the track pad.  Is there a software patch available or is there a trick to a fix?

My MAC is usless to me now that I have installed the new OS X Mountain software.  I can no longer control
the curser, it continues to errase typing as the track pad is stuck on the sticky feature.  It highlights everything, moves all of the data and is almost impossible to shut down screens.  What is going on?  Is there a  patch?  Very frustrated and now embarrased to own this Apple product.

    DJCall60,

try this: boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the Mac OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does the trackpad still act strangely, and are the Sticky Keys still enabled?

    DJCall60,

yes, you can go back to Lion, but the method to do so depends upon which model MacBook Pro you have.
