Do not want to see podcast episodes in the cloud

I'm wondering what best practice is here.

I want to use the Podcasts app "old school", simply as a player for podcasts I've downloaded and synced from my PC.

I "Do Not Want" it to go online, update the episode list and tell me about episodes that are "in the cloud".

In short, I never want to see the "cloud" icon next to a podcast episode, ever.

What's the best way to get there? So far I've gone into Settings -> Podcasts ->

- Refresh podcasts - Manually

- Auto downlaods - OFF

- Use cellular data - OFF

And then deleted all my podcasts on the device, and re-synced the device from iTunes.

Anything else I can do?
