Poor Customer Service regarding my Apple TV
I was told initially to return my Apple TV by Apple tech support to the Trafford store Manchester, I then rang up Apple Trafford store, when they advised me not to return the item as they had no appt available, they told me to go to the genius bar on-line and make appt for the Trafford Store, but when you try and make the appt there is no option to make appt for Apple TV, so this contradicts the advice I was given, I then went to the store & eventually joined their queue and waited for 25 mins with others who had no appts, finally when I got seen by the manger of the store he told me initially to wait for 70 mins, after he read my notes after taking the serial No of the Apple TV he changed his tune as he stated that I was advised not to call to the store to return the said item, I was disheartened to say the least, the Manager then told me that the waiting time for 70 mins will not be given to me as I was advised not to call to the store, he then told me to call back after 3.5 hours, or call tomorrow or vist another store, I was not happy to say the least & found this quite unacceptable, usually you get great service with Apple and maybe my expectations are too high, The manager remained firm & gave me no leeway, I was so upset I left the store & told the Manager I was not happy with him and under protest I left the Apple TV with him which he did not like and accused me of being over dramatic, if something is faulty you should be able to take it to the store & return it, not go through loads of waffle & red tape, I do not think Apple is geared up in this respect unless you adhere to their system, unfortunately for Apple you cannot make an appt on-line for the Apple TV as there is no option for that and the option currently is still not there.
When I got back home later on I spoke to Apple & they were dismayed as to what had happened when I told them the situation, this was on the 31st Jan, I still have not had any good communication with Apple, who after speaking to a few senior Support Staff at their Cork & Gateshead centre have assured me that this matter will be dealt with, however the return calls promised to me about my TV have fallen on deaf ears, and also email were promiised to me so that this matter can be dealt with, nothing has happeneed I am none the wiser as to what Apple will do, the ladies I spoke to at the support centres were terribly nice & polite to me, Elaine at Cork & Sophie & Anna at Gateshead, I am still at a loss as what to do as there is no follow up!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am getting tired of chasing Apple around to get any service, I do not think they will follow up as the response promised has protracted.
