LinkedIn app problem on my iPad

In an email from LinkedIn I was informed that the old version of the app on my iPad is no longer supported as of February 18 and I should download the latest version. The problem is I can't find the LinkedIn app on my iPad. Its nowhere on my list of apps. I tried to download the newer version of the LinkedIn app but it won't let me download. Can anyone help me discover the reasons why

1) I can't find the app

2) Why can't I download the new app?

My iPad version is 7.0.4 (for some reason it says here a different version which is incorrect).

Thanks.

iPad, iOS 5.1.1

Did you check purchased at the bottom of the screen in the App Store. All your apps purchased or free should be there.
