When Apple takes a device back as warranty replacement, that iPhone is completely erased, new battery installed, new screen installed. and any repairs made that are needed. Nothing is left on the solid state memory. The iOS is installed from scratch so the iPhone is then a completely new device.

Nothing can be said about anyone other than Apple, however.
