Ipad won't sync, tried everything

After installing IOS 7 AND the latest version of iTunes, my iPad stopped syncing with my computer. I get the "Your iPad did not sync because the sync session failed to start" message. I also get a "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (142404)" message when initially starting iTunes. I have tried:

- resetting Ipad

- resetting Ipad to factory settings

- reinstalling Itunes

- installing an older version of iTunes

- Anti-virus/ anti-spyware scans using several programs

- Pulling out strands of my hair

Two more things of note: 1. I am able to sync my old 2nd generation iPod Nano with no issues. 2. Using a program called SyncIOS also will not sync with the iPad.

I am running Windows 7 Professional on my laptop with all updates installed.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Suggest you uninstall iTunes on your computer and reinstall.

First, I supose that you don't have passcode on iPad.

I had a lot of problems with iTunes on Windows.

Twice I needed to reinstall Windows 7 because of the iTunes. And I made all things possible, believe me.

If you are having iCloud Control Panel, you may unistall this one too.

If it's still not working, try on another computer to see if it's recognise.
