Adding Contacts to iPhone (without iCloud)?

Posted a few days ago, but Apple deleted the thread citing it was not constructive.

OK.

How can I get my contacts onto my iPhone without having to hand over my information to Apple via iCloud?

The info tab was deleted in iTunes in this update and need update my contacts on my iPhone. If all else fails, will have to use my macbook pro (10.6.8) to achieve this.

Any assistance or help would be appreciated.
