I det an error message that says I need to upgrade but i have the latest version. If I create or edit the file on my mac it works fine on my iphone or ipad but then I cannot open it again on my mac? Extremely frustrating, can anyone help?

Pages version 5.0.1 (1478). I purchased the version online and I keep checking for updates but it say all apps are up to date. Also, I am using OS X version 10.9.1
The latest is Pages 5.1.

When I go to the app store I see version 5.1 and it says that I purchased an downloaded it. I check for updates and it says there are none. How do I make sure I have version 5.1?
Check how many Pages you have on your Hard Drive by searching on Pages in Spotlight.
Select the Application's icon and go command i to see Info.
or Open it and look in Menu > Pages > About Pages

It is only showing 1 pages. The 5.0.1 version which I referenced above. Should I try to uninstall it and then reinstall it?

Just a warning buggy as Pages 5 is, Pages 5.1 seems worse.

Apple says very little and seems to do less.

Drag Pages 5.01, and any other new iWork apps you have in the Applications folder, into the Trash and empty it. Double check you have the right ones.
Are you sure you never owned any previous iWork?
