Could not activate cellular data network
I have come across a problem that I can not solve nor find an aswer online anywhere and need some help, so here is the situation:
I have an iPhone 4S that was operating just fine, and one day I could no longer access data outside of wifi. If I was on 3G I just get the message:
"Could not activate cellular data network - You are not subscribed to a cellular data service"
I could still receive/send phone calls and text messages, but could not access internet or apps.
Here are the steps I have followed to try to fix the problem:
- Powered phone off and on
- Set phone to airplane mode, turned off/on
- Reset network connections
- Updated phone to new iOS 7.0.4
- Phoned my wireless provider to make sure their network was working (they reset my wireless connection on their end)
- Went to Apple store and got a diagnostic done and all seemed to be working fine with the iPhone according to them. Apple Store suggested trying the SIM card with my wireless provider
- Went to wireless provider (MTS) and the tested SIM card and it was in working condition
- Wireless provider reset my phone and data worked on 3G and on wifi with a wiped phone (factory settings)
- Once I restored my iPhone from my iCloud backup, the problem of not being able to connect to data without wifi came back
My only thought is maybe an app is causing something to make data not to work, but I don't really know.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks
