new iPad air. BOOKMARKS AND NOTES TO TRANSFER

I bought a new ipad air. Some of my ibooks transferred from my original ipad. HOW DO I GET MY BOOKMARKS AND NOTES TO TRANSFER to my new ipad? Why didn't my entire collection transfer?
