Up to a few days ago my iphone would auto open my itunes. All of a sudden, although the phone showes up as a device it does not connect to itunes anymore. No changes made to the PC as far as I know. HELP!

Yea, I just came back from vacation and it will not even show up in Itunes as a device anymore. so, I can't even reset it or restore it....***.
Try holding down CTRL as you launch iTunes to see if it will repair the drivers.

After reading the discussion answers, I finally came to the realization that there were driver problems. I proceeded to UPDATE the Mobil Device Service Drivers and VOILA! Problem solved. My iPhone finally back to normal. It again auto opens the iTunes and shows up. Thanks all for your input!
For you still having the problem, with the device plugged in(iPhone or other), I went to Control Panel, clicked on Device Manager then found the iPhone under "Portable Devices" Right click on the Apple device, open up properties and go to drivers. Update the drivers. Worked for me. Good luck.
