Can't delete tags

Hi guys,

I have a quite big problem with tags.

Some how (no ideas how) all tags from my Pixa library had transferred to OS X (Mavericks).

I'm a UI/UX designer and have pretty large image and sketches library and it has a thousands of tags.

Now I've got all these tags in OS.

Some of these tags has a many words in it.

And the problem is I can't delete them by usual way (right click on tag, delete tag).

I there any other way, how I can delete these tags?

Idealy I'd like to delte them in batch or just all.

I'vew seen this before I've posted, and unfotunatelly these links, mentioned by you, has no solution for my issue.

I used the app "Leap" from ironicsoftware to get rid of a similar problem. Hope it helps.

You remove a tag from a document by right-clicking on the document icon. The contextual menu that appears has a Tags... item. Select it. The Tag name and color appear in the input box. You backspace, and then press return to set the removal. This is how it works for me.

Viking, i know what you say, but im not sure why, but your procedure did not work on all tags, specially legacy tags inherited from other apps. The only way i could delete them were by using Leap.

The procedure that I previously shared works on Mavericks tagged files, or previous, legacy labeled documents, whose presentation has changed to the Mavericks tag styling. I have always set document labels/tags exclusively with the Apple Finder.

The reason the Finder process that I outlined did not work is that a pre-Mavericks version of Leap wrote labels into your legacy documents, not the Finder. And, Ironic Software had to release a special version for Mavericks for tags support, (and likely) the removal capability for those legacy Leap labels.
