Can magsafe ac 45w be used on 13" Macbook Pro?

60W has burned out again.

Can I use the 45W from MacBook Air and if so for how long and what risks?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.5), 8Mb with 750Gb Hybrid Momentus

While the linked Knowledge Base article explains that you may safely use a higher wattage charger without harm and that you should not use a lower wattage charger, it does not specifically state whether or not a lower wattage charge will harm your system.

If you use same, the 45w will get hot and burn out , so long term, NO

I do not agree with that.

45 watts is the maximum that adapter can provide. It is designed to provide that and will not provide anymore. So it is not going to get hotter than it is supposed to.

The 45 watt adapter will take longer to charge up the battery, that's all.
