Q: iPhone 5s won't sync with computer after upgrade to iOS 7.0.5

I recently upgraded my new iPhone 5s as instructed to iOS 7.0.5. Everytime I try to sync it manually with my home computer, a screen message asks if I trust the computer, and the sync begins but drops up after backing up so that nothing syncs. The same thing happens with my iPad.

I'm not particualrly computer literate but find this inabaility to sync most frustrating. Can anyone please help?
