Have upgraded to to 10.0.2 but my iMovie library and all events seem to have disappeared.

You need to update your iMovie 9 events and projects from within iMovie 10 before they are available in iMovie 10

Or are you referring to upgrading from 10.0.1? in which case your library should not be affected. You might have to locate it again using File - Open library - Other if it does not appear in the list.
