After purchasing music through itunes on my PC windows 8 computer, I receive the message "file cannot be found" and searching the computer shows no files. Not in "my music". Also, all of the songs that were downloaded to my ipod (2nd generation with the flywheel) are wiped out, after trying to unsuccesfully download the purchased music. The music shows up in my library, but the songs all have an exclamation mark by them and the message saying the file cannot be found repeats on every song.
I even re-purchased some of the music and attempted to download the music to another ipod (the mini shuffle, fairly new) and while the store said it was downloading, it is not on the new ipod, either.
Anyone know what in the heck is going on? It's not like I have never purchased music before (albeit not with Windows 8, the Windows XP) but even after having two more knowledgable people try to help we are still stumped. It's like the files are corrupted, but that doesn't make sense...
