My Macbook pro on OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks ALWAYS has trouble connecting to the internet whenever I am not in my room. Yet my room is in the basement and the wifi router is upstairs. Does anyone know why this happens?

Interference, distance from router, weak signal.

Because it is an Apple!

I am getting constant disconnects also, also running the same OSX, it is probably a resolving hosts issue.
