Is it possible to run Mountain Lion on the new Mac Pro?
I figure Mavericks only, but was curious

With rare exceptions, a Mac cannot run a version of Mac OS older than what it came with. The new Mac Pro is no exception.
Since the hardware in the new Mac Pro is so radically different from the old Mac Pro, the chance of it running anything older then what ships with is probably zero.

If you really, really need an older version, you may be able to run it in a Virtual Machine. Not directly, though.
