How do i fix ghosting on macbook pro retina ?

I recently turned on my mac to find huge grey shadows on the left side of my screen. Two grey rows the size of film reels that dont move.

What do I do?

I tried putting up a screen saver as suggested by someone but the thing just doesnt budge.

Is there a quick fix i can try at home before i call apple support ?

You need to schedule a Genius Bar appointment with a local Apple Store to have their techs run tests to verify the screen needs to be replaced. Assuming you're still under warranty or AppleCare, it will be a free replacement. If you have no nearby store, then call Apple to find out your repair options.

I recently had my mid-2012 rMBP's screen changed due to image retention and have not had an issue since.
