Q: my mom gave me a gift card and it says its not active when i try to redeem it. i have no receit or no where she got it from and she went out of the country. how can i activate this card?

    Follow the instructions on the HT6021 page that you posted from to contact iTunes Support and see how they reply :

     

    Contact iTunes Store Support

    If you can't read the code or are still having issues redeeming your gift card, contact iTunes Support:

    1. Go to the iTunes Store support page and choose your country.
    2. From the menu on the left, choose Contact Support.
    3. Click Contact iTunes Store Support.
    4. Follow the instructions.

    iTunes Store Support may ask you to send these things:

    • Image of the front and back of your gift card
    • Sales receipt showing when your card was purchased
    • Serial number from your gift card
