download button on appstore missing

It sounds like you are trying to download something from the App Store but the Download or Install button is not showing on the app page. I recommend first, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App Stores. Then close all the running apps on the device:

Double-click the Home button.

Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that restart the phone and test the issue again:

Hope this helps someone. I had this problem on my son's iPad and when I checked the restrictions and they were set for 12+ and the game was rated 17+. I disabled the restriction, closed the App Store, reloaded it and searched for the game again. There was the Install button!
