Q: Keeps coming up with error when restoring iPhone, has my stuff been wiped?
So... long story short. My iPhone won't charge, I claimed on my insurance and they are sending me a replacement. Fine, no problem.
On the email they sent me it says that I need to reset my phone.
They gave me this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5661
I follow these instructions and during the process it comes up with the error (4005) that it failed to restore the software back onto the iPhone.
If it's got this far does it mean that it has already wiped the iPhone clean, thus my stuff is not on there no more.
If it has wiped it off, no worries and I'm not fussed as my insurance company can deal with the rest, however if my stuff is still on there then obviously this is an issue as I don't want my stuff out of my control.
iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.4
