My iPod touch 5th gen won't charge.

When I connect my iPod to a power source i cannot get a connection. Before I was able to get a connection but only one side worked and if I had it charging at a certain angle. Now I can't get any connection at all. The USB cable works on other peoples devices so this leads me to think that maybe something is wrong with the lightning port.

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use. I would still try another cable

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
