Q: how to edit (re-draw) wave forms in Soundtrack Pro?
I am able to re-draw wave forms in Logic Pro with the Pencil tool to edit out noise spikes.
When I try to do the same in Soundtrack Pro the pencil tool seems not to work. What am I missing?
When I search the Soundtrack Pro manual (editing wave-forms) I get a blank page!
Trying to do compackt my noise editing work into one application (Soundtrack Pro).
Thank you for your time and patience.

We all know that manuals enclosed with applications, software are designed to sell books, videos, tutorials. (Unless you are a programmer they are of little help.)
Like so many times I spend not hours but days to wade through miriads of solutions, videos, tutorials, manuals.
In case there are others who get stuck with the Sample Edit tool:
The reason I could not redrawe a sound wave in Soundtrack Pro like it simply worked in Logic Pro, is that it does not work the same as in Logic Pro. To change a wave's shape you must first zoom in all the way until you see the little squares (below):
With the sample edit tool you can then drag any little square. If you do not see squares you need to zoom in more. I hope this helps someone to clean up noise within otherwise perfect recordings. In Logic audio you grab and drag part of a wave (no little squares).
