Trouble with the volume when exporting podcast to disk.

When listening to the final podcast the sound is perfect but when exporting the podcast to disk using mp3 (higher quality) it gets a lot lower. Our audience has complained and I can't seem to get it right. What is the problem?

I've tried to increase the master volume by 6dB but that didn't do much if anything at all.

Please help me!
