App for an electronic company visitor sign in.

Flash forward a couple years: I'm hoping someone can make a recommendation too.

I'm testing out a few different iPad apps: Envoy, SwipedOn, iLobby, TheReceptionist, WhosOnLocation, Greetly (and there are many more out there). The nice thing, is they all handle sign ins, NDA forms, photos and badge printing, plus emergency evacuation tools. They range from $49-$249/mo. depending on the size of your company and how many locations you need it. All cloud based- if you feel OK with that.

I'm from SwipedOn, so have a good understanding of the range (plus my bias disclaimer!).

As you'd mentioned, all of the apps above will be fine for core function and general suitability. Decisions may be based largely on usability and simplicity of the product (some will suit a Nuclear Power Station, whereas others are more 'standard' office based). As stated, prices do vary greatly, depending on the provider. For example, the SwipedOn plans actually start at the $19 per month range - with full function and support. We use Envoy. I didn't handle the selection or review, but I love it. It sends a notification to my phone, Slack, and email when the visitor arrives, and it integrates with Okta which makes it easy to manage as a user.

Search the iTunes Store for "guestbook". There are at least a few apps that might suit your needs. If not, you could buy FileMaker Pro for your computer, develop a suitable database, and deploy that on the iPad via the free FileMaker Go app.
