Windows 8 / 8.1 - Can't burn CD's with iTunes - "Error 4310"

Installed newest version of iTunes on Asus laptop 2 days ago but can't burn any "Playlists" to CD's.

Start the burning process but errors out within 3 to 5 seconds of starting. (Error 4310)

Have un-installed / re-install iTunes, updated all Windows drivers and checked all settings.

Still same issue.

Can burn music and other items fine using Windows Media Player or any other burning program, just not iTunes.

Has this issue ever been fixed ?

Have searched the support here and also Google but no fix listed besides installing an older version of iTunes.

Any new info on when / if this will ever be fixed ?
