HOW CAN I USE MY CANNON SCANNER ON MY MACBOOK PRO

I have a cannon MG3100 and for some reason I cannot scan. I have reset the printer and reinstalled it but it does not appear in the software selection. It connects through airprint but it does not allow me to scan.

According to this article about drivers available from Apple, a scanner driver for your MG31xx should be downloaded and installed when you add the printer. This will create an entry with two tabs, Print and Scan as shown below.

If you don't have this Scan tab then install this ICA scanner driver. After installing this driver, restart your Mac and then check the Printers & Scanners pane again.
