Q: My iPhone 5 has suddenly begun dropping cellular network signal.

Recently I had a major problem with an itunes update on my Windows Vista laptop that was only resolved by a full blown uninstall and delete of all apple connected products and files on my laptop.   Once i reinstalled, itunes worked again.   Unfortunately after I next synched my iphone with itunes I proceeded to have major issues playing music on my phone.   All songs, except those downloaded on itunes, stopped working.  Thankfully I managed to resolve this problem by deleting all music and then putting it back on.   However on my next sync the same problem occurred and I was forced to do the same again.   After the 2nd time I had issues with my music after a sync my phone has begun dropping O2 network connection whilst both not in use or during calls.   When it drops during a call I get a few seconds of a high pitched sound before going quiet and disconnecting the call.   To remedy the situation I've tried a reset of my network settings followed by a Full blown phone reset with new iphone setup selected.   Unfortunately none of this has helped remedy the problem.   Hence my question is has anyone else experienced this and managed to resolve it?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4
