On my IPAD when I read an email and want to forward it, how do I delete the email address of the person who sent it.
I select forward, at the bottom it has the persons email address. My cursor does not respond in this area. What do I do?
As soon as you select forward, you can place the cursor anywhere on the message to be forwarded, including where the previous email address is. Just tap the screen and back out e unwanted information.

after I forward, There is the TO, subj, the place to put your message. then the send or Cancel, then in yellow it say the original message will be forwarded.
Under that is the email address of who sent it. I can do nothing in that area. No cursor will hi light or anything.
I don't understand what you are describing here.
Open the email that you want to forward, Tap the arrow that points to the right - at the top of the mail app - and then select "Forward". The mail message window will open. Now type in the address of the recipient. Type your message in the body of the email - above the mesaage that is being forwarded. Then place your insertion point at the end of the part of the email that you want to delete ....whether is the the first email address, a particular part of the message ...and then start tapping the back delete key to delete the content or place the insertion point wherever you like, and select the text that you want to delete, just like you would do with any text in any app, and then cut or delete the text.
this works exactly the same way that deleting text works anywhere on the iPad.
Are you using the stock mail app on the iPad?
After selecting forward, the previous email info appears in large blue type. Touching the screen at the end of that information places the cursor.
In fact you should be able to edit everything on the screen - unless it is photograph, which is not the case here.
