my iMessage isn't working

Yeah...I've been having the same problem...my iMessage hasn't been working on my Macbook Pro for the past few days... and the oddest part is that I can't even find Messages in my System Preferences.

Did I have a tramautic brain injury and no one told me....or is something amiss with Messages lately?

This same thing happened to my Messages too. What worked for me was to open it and click Messages > Preferences. Then select your Apple ID account underneath "Bonjour". Then click "enable this account" underneath Settings. It should prompt you to enter your password. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for the tip. It worked! I don't know how everyone in my Contacts went offline, but now it is fixed. I just opened iMessage, clicked on iMessage at the top left, clicked on Preferences, clicked on Accounts and enabled Bonjour, then clicked General and unchecked all options that indicated going offline.
