Default Apache vs XAMPP Apache???
I copied the following from my Terminal program:
Password:
my-computer:/Users/[USERNAME] root# /Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/mampp start
Starting XAMPP for MacOS X 0.5...
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP4)...
XAMPP: Error 1! Couldn't start Apache!
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...
XAMPP for MacOS X started.
my-computer:/Users/[USERNAME] root#
But if I type http://localhost/ into my browser, I get the standard Apache greeting. I assume I'm viewing the default Apache installation. (Is that's what's stopping my new Apache installation from starting?)
Are there any XAMPP fans who can tell me what's going on? Just because Apache doesn't start doesn't necessarily mean it isn't installed, right? Can anyone suggest how to trouble-shoot this? I assume I simply have to find the proper files and find another way to start Apache, right? Do I first have to find the default Apache installation and disable it?
Thanks.
