Fixing bluetooth audio lag in Honda

I just leased a 2013 Honda Accord and everything works perfectly with my iPhone 5S except any sounds that come through the phone take roughly 2.5 seconds to come through the car speakers.

This is particularly distracting for changing through songs since the title of the song appears on the middle display and changes at a different interval than the actual sound.

Has anyone heard of this issue before??

Thanks for any help!

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.3

FYI, I'm not a Bluetooth expert, but I may have found the bug in the Honda Bluetooth firmware that causes this.

I have a case open with Honda Technical Support and my Honda dealer. You may want to do the same.
