Q: iPhone 5S Router Suggestion?

I have a Netgear Wireless-N 150 Router, WNR1000v2. My 5S is unable to hold the router in the garage. I repositioned the router within my office room without success. What router specs do I need to optimise my iPhone 5S WiFi capabilities?

See this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4199 While it will not specify a type of router, it provides optimal setting recommendations.
